- Azt hiszem 2016-ban, még jóval az előző lemezem (You And The World) megjelenése előtt jött az ötlet, hogy a következő album miről fog szólni. Elkezdtem dalokat írni azokról a helyekről ahová eddigi életem során fújt a szél és fontos helyszínei voltak ennek a Kalandnak, aminek mostanra 34 éve, hogy részese vagyok - fogalmazott Gery.
A most megjelent dal és klip a #Budapest150-re készült. Egy pörgős, néhol abszurd sztori, Budapest legszebb részeivel.

- A Budapest Dal egy igazi nyárindító szám, a legfrissebb lemezemről, a The Journey-ről. Készítettünk hozzá egy sztoris klipet, a Színház- És- Filmművészeti Egyetem támogatásával. Sok országban megfordultam az elmúlt 10 évben. A the Journey lemez ezeket az éveket foglalja össze.
Amikor az ember külföldön él, sok az új élmény… de jó esetben mindig van azért valamilyen szintű honvágy az emberben. Nekem a barátok, csald és a kultúra ami a nyelvet is magába foglalja hiànyoztak nagyon. Más a nyelv, más a közeg mások még a poénok is… ez jó, de egy idő után valami hiányzik. A BUDAPEST DAL valami kis ízelítőt és életerzést ad, amire örömmel kacsint vissza az ember, bármerre is jár a világban - részletezte az előadó.

A ‘ THE JOURNEY’ LP-ről
Személyes ihletettségű a rajta szereplő összes dal. A koncepció pedig, hogy a dalok többsège egy-egy helyről szól, ami közel áll a szívemhez és ahol volt szerencsém élni rövidebb vagy hosszabb ideig. Így van dal, ami a Norvégiában eltöltött időszakomat dolgozza fel, egy másik szól az angliai Bristol városáról, egy harmadik pedig Amerikai élményeimet meséli el.
