Az amerikai pop-rock csapat június 25-én veszi be a Budapest Arénát slágereivel és kirobbanó energiákkal.
A OneRepublic eddig három alkalommal járt Budapesten, legutóbb épp a Covid korlátozások feloldása után nem sokkal, 2022 tavaszán, mint az egyik első nagy nemzetközi fellépő, és adtak emlékezetes koncertet.
A zenekar énekese mind a koncerteken, mind az Instagram sztorijaiban ódákat zengett Budapestről, így éppen ideje a visszatérésnek.
A GRAMMY-díjra jelölt OneRepublic tagjai Ryan Tedder, énekes-dalszerző frontember, Zach Filkins és Drew Brown gitárosok, Brian Willett billentyűs, Brent Kutzle basszusgitáros és csellista, valamint Eddie Fisher dobos. A zenekar 2002-es alakulása óta csak a Spotify-on több mint 5 milliárd lejátszást gyűjtött, slágereik meghódították a rádiós- és streaming listákat is. Bemutatkozó albumuk 2007-ben jelent meg Dreaming Out Loud címmel és 20 millió példányban kelt el, ezen szerepel a digitális eladási és rádiós játszási rekordokat megdöntő Apologize is, amely GRAMMY-jelölést is hozott számukra.
A 2009-ben kiadott Waking Up is bővelkedett slágerekben
Ezen szerepelt többek közt az All The Right Moves, a Secrets és a Good Life is. Nem sokkal később pedig a platinalemezzé vált Native-ot jelentették meg, rajta az első helyezést elért, 41 millió példányban elkelt Counting Stars-zal. Ezt követték még Oh My My és Human című lemezeik, valamint
2022-ben adták ki az I Ain’t Worried című dalt, amely a kasszasiker Top Gun: Maverick című filmben is szerepelt
Klipje pont a legutóbbi budapesti koncertjük napján debütált és köszöntötte a rajongókat az arénában. A dalt azóta több mint 3 milliárdszor játszották le.
2024 a különleges kollaborációkról szólt a bandának
Ekkor jelent meg David Guettával közös slágerük, az I Don’t Wanna Wait, majd a Nobody (from Kaiju No.8) érkezett, amely a hatalmas sikerű manga-anime adaptáció, a Kaiju No.8. stáblista dala is volt, valamint a szintén a sorozathoz íródott Invincible (from Kaiju No.8) is. Szintén ebben az évben jelent meg a csapat hatodik stúdióalbuma is, az Artificial Paradise, olyan slágerekkel, mint a Hurt és a Sink or Swim. A lemez deluxe változatán szerepel a Jelly Roll-lal közös kollaboráció, és több akusztikus verzió is. Kygo közreműködésével megjelentették a Chasing Paradise-t, majd Ikkyvel és Karan Aujlával közösen a Tell Me-t, de összeálltak a The Superman Lovers formációval is, hogy elkészítsék a szeretett Starlight 25. évfordulós új változatát is, a Starlight (The Fame)-et.
A OneRepublic legutóbbi dobása a Beautiful Colors (from Kaiju No.8) című szám és klip volt, amely egyben a sorozat második évadának záródala.
Bár a zenekar november közepén fejezi be aktuális európai koncertkörútját de máris az új, From Europe With Love elnevezésű turnéjukat szervezik, amivel jövőre térnek vissza az öreg kontinensre, és hozzánk is június 25-én, a Budapest Arénába.
