Nyolcszámos lemezzel jelentkezik májusi tripla Aréna-koncertje előtt Magyarország legnépszerűbb előadója. A skatulya I. című lemezről a mariana.árok már túlszárnyalta a 2,5 milliós megtekintést YouTube-on, a cipoe pedig szintén hasít: 1,6 millió megtekintésnél jár. Ezekhez érkezik most hat további dal.
A dalszerző-előadó így mesél a lemezről: „Korábban mindig próbáltam előre összeírni, megtervezni minden dalt, aszerint haladni az alkotómunkával, ahogyan a fejemben egy album összeállt. Viszont a zenekészítési folyamat ennek a szöges ellentéte. Megannyi ilyen tapasztalat után biztosra mondom, hogy a legjobb hangulatok, illetve a legértékesebb gondolatok és dallamok mindig akkor érkeznek, amikor nincs előre felvázolva, hogy vajon milyen lesz a teljes egész.
A skatulya I. című lemezen Azahriah új területekre lép. Ő maga így fogalmaz: „A skatulya albumsorozattal igyekszem a legkísérletezőbb, legszélsőségesebb hangzásokat próbálgatni, aztán a legjobbakat leválogatom, s végül egy összefüggő sztorivá igyekszem formálni a lemezen.” S hogy a kísérletezést mennyire komolyan veszi, azt mi sem bizonyítja jobban, mint a tartarosz című dal – ami egy metálszám. Hasonlóra – hogy egy, a karrierje csúcsán járó popsztár metáldallal rukkoljon elő – még a nemzetközi színtéren se nagyon akad példa. De hát ő maga énekli: izzik a szabadság a vérében.
A visualizerekben a mariana.árok klipjének különös, enigmatikus látványvilága köszön vissza (Emil Goodman munkái), a szövegek pedig a carpe diemtől a világvége-flessig igen széles skálán mozognak. Egy biztos: úgy lángol, hogy még a tenger mélyén se lehet kioltani.
