Több, augusztusban esedékes európai koncertjét mondta le a napokban A$AP Rocky és most a lemondáshullám a Szigetet is elérte. A szervezők azonban gyorsan pótolták a hiányt: a Sziget pénteki napján a Nagyszínpad headlinere Kid Cudi lesz.
A Grammy-díjas amerikai rapper, énekes, dalszerző, színész és producer Kid Cudi lesz az idei Sziget egyik headlinere, miután A$AP Rocky váratlanul és hirtelen visszamondta több európai koncertjét, így sajnos a szigetest is – jelentették be a szervezők.
Cudi az amerikai hiphop és R&B-kultúra egyik legérdekesebb jelensége, egy igazi zenei divatdiktátor. 2008-ban robbant be a zenei színtérre, és gyorsan felkapaszkodott a Billboard listák élére debütáló albumával, a Man on the Moon: The End of Day című anyaggal, ami dupla platinalemez minősítést kapott. Pályafutása során több sikeres albumot adott ki több mint 22 millió eladott példányban és bezsebelt két Grammy-t is. A legfrissebb hírek szerint Cudi új albumot készít, amelynek első kislemeze Neverland címmel jelent meg idén májusban.
Kid Cudi, polgári neve Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi, ami azért érdekes, mert Cudi volt az első zenei inspiráció Travis Scott számára, aki tiszteletből vette fel a Scott nevet művésznevében, hisz mindig nagy rajongója volt Kid Cudinak, és – mint korábban elmondta - úgy tekint rá, mint egy igazi "szuperhősre".
