Hét év hallgatás után a Good Charlotte új albummal tér vissza. A ’Motel Du Cap’ augusztus 8-án jelenik meg, a punk szívvel és lélekkel íródott lemezt egy különleges franciaországi éjszaka ihlette. Az első kislemez, a „Rejects” már elérhető.

A Good Charlotte nem felejtette el, honnan jött
De most azt is megmutatják, hogy hova tartanak. A Motel Du Cap című új albumuk egy érzelmi és zenei újjászületés: nyers, őszinte, dühös – mégis reflektív.
A lemezt egy franciaországi esküvő inspirálta: a Madden fivérek egy barátjuk lakodalmán játszottak a legendás Hôtel du Cap-ban. Ez az este – kötöttségek nélkül, csak a zenének élve – újra fellobbantotta bennük a lángot.
- Emlékeztetett minket arra, miért kezdtük el az egészet - mondta Joel Madden.
A lemez nyitódala, a „Rejects” már elérhető, és a rajongók szerint ez a banda egyik legerősebb dala a korai 2000-es évek óta.
A számot kísérő klipben – amit Erik Rojas és Lenna Onto rendezett – a Claymates videójáték inspirálta és egy kívülálló fiú életét követi, párhuzamban a GC történetével.
A ’Motel Du Cap’ a zenekar 8. albuma, és új korszakot indít büszkén viselve a punk gyökereket.
