Well the bouys of Liverpool, when we safely landed,
Called meself a fool, I could no longer stand it.
Blood began to boil, temper I was losing;
Poor old Erin's Isle they began abusing.

Some Galway boys were nigh and saw I was a hobble in,

Az egy éve alakult budapesti bluegrass zenekar októberben Amerikában turnézott. A koncertsorozatot a Texas Sounds International Country Music Awards fesztiválon kezdve az év zenekara díjjal tértek haza.
Hét koncertet adtak a hajdani vadnyugat ikonikus városaiban
„Régi álmom valósult meg, hogy azokon a legendás vidékeken játszhattunk, amit annak idején a western filmekben láttam. Például Tombstone városa, ami Arizona déli részén a sivatag közepén fekszik. Itt forgattunk egy klipet, aztán délután kettőkor adtunk egy koncertet. De a Billy Bob (FortWorth), és a Maverick (Tucson) country klubokat is imádtam, ahol fantasztikus zenekarokat láttunk.” – próbál válogatni a tengernyi emlékből Kovács Kornél, a zenekar vezetője, énekese, akit az amerikai folkmuzsikáért rajongó közönség egy másik zenekarból, a Nyughatatlanból is ismerhet már.
A The Riverside Soul négyesét a turné valamennyi állomásán kirobbanó lelkesedéssel fogadta a helyi közönség, ami nem is csoda, igazán különleges élmény lehetett nekik, hogy valaki egy kis európai országból érkezve az ő népzenéjüket játssza.
A csapat a közelmúltban jelentette meg első lemezét, az utazásra írt legújabb, Unexpected Journey című dalukra pedig gyorsan forgattak is egy klipet az arizonai sivatagban, ami előreláthatólag a hónap végén debütál majd. De nem ez volt az egyetlen képanyag, amit kint rögzítettek, kapva az alkalmon, hogy a műfaj autentikus környezetében videózhatnak, több felvételt bezsebeltek, amik akár egy-egy útinaplónak is simán beillenének.
Sedona, vörös sziklas hegység, ahol oly sok western mozi játszódik, egyértelműen magával ragadta a társaságot. Videó itt.
„Az amerikai turnénk egyik legjobb koncertjét Phoenixben adtuk, nagyon jó volt a hely és a közeg minket is hangulatba hozott. Ezután érkeztünk Sedona-ba, ahol a főútról már látszott a lenyűgöző Cottonwood sziklás hegység, itt vettük fel a kedvenc gitárosom Doc Watson feldolgozását, a Streamline Cannonball című számot” – mesélte Kornél a felejthetetlen élményt.
