Gálakoncerttel ünnepli fennállásának 40. évfordulóját a 100 Tagú Cigányzenekar szombat este a Margitszigeti Szabadtéri Színházban, ahol a legendás együttes teljes létszámban színpadra lép majd.
Az esemény méltó összefoglalója lesz a zenekar eddigi, négy évtizedes pályafutásának, amely során a magyar cigányzene egyedi és magával ragadó hangzásvilága bejárta az egész világot.
A jubileumi koncert a zenekar legemlékezetesebb pillanatait eleveníti fel
Emellett új műsorszámok is felcsendülnek.
Az este vendége Fischl Mónika és Laki Péter lesz. A koncerten fellép Danyi Lőrinc Róbert elnök, prímás, Lendvai Csócsi József főprímás, Lendvai Ferenc koncertmester, Csík Gyula szólamvezető szólista, Toldi Edit prímás és a 100 Tagú Cigányzenekar tagjai.
Az együttes a megalakulása óta több mint ezer koncertet adott az ország legkisebb településének kultúrházától a világ számos híres koncertterméig.
A zenekar műsorában a hagyományos hangzásvilág ápolása és megőrzése mellett a modern világ zenei útkeresése is megtalálható. A társulat különleges és egyedi hangszerelésben megszólaltatott repertoárjával megpróbálja minél egyszerűbbé és érthetőbbé tenni az általa tolmácsolt műveket.
