Budapesten ad koncertet augusztus 5-én a svéd gitárzseni, Yngwie Malmsteen
40 éves jubileumi európai turnéja keretében a MOMKult színpadán lép majd fel. A programban a korai sikerek, így a Rising Force, a Trilogy és az Odyssey mellett a közelmúlt legjobb lemezei, azaz a Spellbound, a World on Fire és a Parabellum dalai is előkerülnek majd.
Yngwie J. Malmsteen olyan családba született, amelyben klasszikus zenészek és operaénekesek is voltak. Ötödik születésnapjára kapta első gitárját, és hét évesen kezdett el komolyabban játszani. Kezdetben a blues inspirálta, ám hamar elbűvölte a hegedűművészek – például Nicolo Paganini és Antonio Vivaldi – hangzása és elképesztő technikája.
A klasszikus hegedűs virtuozitás mellett J.S. Bach és más barokk zeneszerzők megközelítését is beépítette saját zeneszerzői és hangszerelési stílusába. Ennek eredményeként született meg az, amit ma neoklasszikus hard rockként ismerünk.
Tizenévesen érkezett Amerikába, ahol több lemezfelvételt követően, 1984-ben jelentette meg Rising Force című szólólemezét; azt az albumot, amely gyakorlatilag forradalmasította a rockgitározást. Ez a lemez mérföldkövet jelentett a neoklasszikus rock és metal műfajában, ötvözve a klasszikus zeneszerzést a szédítő tempóval és a hard rock hangszereléssel. Az olyan számok, mint a Black Star és a Far Beyond the Sun évtizedek óta állandó elemei koncertjeinek.
Az idei turné részben ezt az úttörő albumot ünnepli, de Yngwie a Parabellumig bezárólag több mint harminc lemez számaiból válogat majd, felölelve a négy évtizedet.
„Minden este, amikor színpadra lépek, 40 éve írt dalokat játszom, de minden alkalommal megpróbálom máshogy előadni őket”
– mondta Malmsteen a Classic Rock magazinnak pár éve. „Nem vagyok zenegép. És ettől lesz ez igazán izgalmas. Minden alkalommal, amikor kezemben a gitár, egy új érzés fog el, és ez boldoggá tesz.”
Az idei turné kapcsán Malmsteen elmondta: „Nagyon izgatott vagyok, hogy ismét turnézhatunk, és megemlékezhetünk a szólókarrierem indulásáról Ez egy hihetetlen utazás volt, és még mindig úgy érzem, mintha csak most kezdődne. Nem juthattam volna el idáig a rajongók nélkül, akiknek köszönöm az évek során nyújtott támogatást. Alig várom, hogy együtt hozzunk létre új csodákat! More is more!”
A különleges koncertre Budapesten augusztus 5-én kerül sor: exkluzív helyszínen, a MOMKult színpadán lép fel Malmsteen. A koncertre álló- és ülőjegyek korlátozott számban kaphatók.
