And all the way to Dublin, whack-for-al-de-ay!
In Mullingar that night I rested limbs so weary
Started by daylight, next morning bright and early;
Took a drop of the pure, keep the hearts from sinking,
That’s the Paddy’s cure, whenever his on drinking.
See the lassies smile, laughing all the while
At me daring style, ’twould set heart a-hubbling.
Asked me I was hired, wages I requied.
Until I almost tired on the rocky road to Dublin.
In Dublin next arrived, I tought, it was a pity
To be so soon deprived of a view of that fine city;
Decided to take a stroll, all among the quality,
Bundle it was stolen in that neat locality,
Something crossed my mind, when I look behind.
No bundle could I find upon my stick a-wobbling.
Inquiring for the rogue, they said my Connaught brogue.
Wasn’t much in vogue on the rocky road to Dublin.
From there I got away, my spirit’s never failing,
Landed on the stage, just as the ship was sailing.
Captain at me roared, said that no room had he.
Then I jumped aboard, a cabin found for Paddy.
Down among the pigs I played such hearty rigs,
Danced some hearty jigs, with water round me bubbling.
Off to Holyhead, I wished meself was dead,
Or better far instead, on the rocky road to Dublin.
The boys in Liverpool, when we safely landed
Called myself a fool, I could no longer stand it;
My blood began to boil, my temper I was losing.
And poor old Erin’s Isle, they all began abusing.
Hurrah! my boys, says I, shillealgh fly.
Galway boys were nigh, they see I was a hobble in;
Then with a loud hooray joined the a-fray,
Soon we cleared the way for the rocky road to Dublin.
Nem csak az egyre melegebb, Balatonba csábító idő miatt érdemes ezen a hétvégén célba venni a siófoki Plázst, hanem a felejthetetlen koncertélményekért is.
Pénteken Ákos érkezik Rockturnéjával, majd Rakonczai Imre zongorajátékára búcsúztathatjuk az estét, míg szombaton Pogány Induló robban be a Balaton nagyszínpadára, a hajnalt pedig a Necc Partyn köszönthetjük majd.
A hétvégét június 7-én Ákos koncertjével kezdhetjük a Plázson, aki ezúttal Rockturnéjával és új dalaival, az Ember maradj-gyal és a legfrissebb, Kegyetlen szerelemmel örvendezteti meg rajongóit. Koncertje után érdemes betérni a Plázs Arénába is, ahol Rakonczai Imre Blue Piano estjén feledkezhetünk bele a dalokba.
Szombaton a Plázson tavaly debütált, az MVM Dome-ot pedig idén már önállóan megtöltő Pogány Induló veszi be a nagyszínpadot, ráadásul igen erős vendéggárdával érkezik.
„Nagyon jó koncert volt, monumentális élményekkel gazdagodtam! A Balaton, a naplemente, a közönség mind hozzáadtak a maradandó élményhez” – meséli tavalyi plázsos koncertjéről. „Idén is hasonló katarzisra számítok, ráadásul a teljes zenekarommal léphetünk színpadra, amit már nagyon várok, hiszen az MVM óta ez lesz az első koncertünk újra együtt. Mindehhez még az is hozzátesz, hogy VZS és Ótvar Pestis barátaim is ott lesznek, na meg Missh is velünk tart ezúttal, úgyhogy biztos robbantani fogjuk a Plázst.” És hogy mit jelent számára a Balaton? „A magyar tengert, mint valószínűleg a legtöbbeknek: nyár, haverok, buli, lángos, vízibicikli és persze csobbanás. Bár egyszer véletlen majdnem belefulladtam, úgyhogy azóta maximális tisztelettel tekintek a Balatonra” – mondja Pogány Induló, akinek koncertjét követően is folytatódik majd a buli a Plázson.
A Balatonra érkezik az ország legnagyobb házibulija, a Plázs Arénában a Necc Party dübörög hajnalig, úgyhogy ezen a hétvégén is irány Siófok!
