There were passengers from Limerick
and passengers from Nenagh,
the boys from Connemara
and the Clare unmarried maidens,
and the people from Cork city
who were loyal, true and faithful,
that brought home Fenian prisoners
from dying in foreign nations.

It’s there you’ll see the fiddlers
and pipers competing,
the nimble-footed dancers
and they tripping on the daisies,
and others crying „Cigars and lights
and bills of all the races
with the colours of the jockeys
and the prize and horses’ ages”.

It’s there you’d see the jockeys
and they mounted so stately,
the pinks, the blues, the Irisher green,
the emblem of our nation.
When the bell was rung for starting
all the horses seemed impatient,
I thought they’d never stood on ground,
their speed was so amazing.

There was half half a million people
there of all denominations,
the Chatolic, the Protestant,
the Jew and Presbyterian.
There was yet no animosity,
no matter what persuasion,
but sport and hospitality
inducing fresh acquaintance.

Myles Kennedy szinte éppen csak befejezte a Slash ft. Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators turnéját, máris bejelentette őszi visszatérését Európába, méghozzá harmadik szólóalbuma, a The Art of Letting Go turnéjával, amelyet november 10-én mutat be az Akvárium Klubban.
Mint termékeny dalszerző, erőteljes énekes és profi gitáros, Myles Kennedy ráhangolódik a környezete ritmusára és sodródik az árral. Az Alter Bridge frontembereként az ő szárnyaló éneke, nyílt szívű dalszövegei és légmentes riffjei több, mint húsz éve fűtik az aranylemezes, arénákat megtöltő, világsikerű formációt. A Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators énekeseként 2010 óta folyamatosan lenyűgözi a közönséget. A több, mint 10 milliós lejátszás mellett a lemez kiváló kritikákat kapott az American Songwriter, a Guitar.com, a LoudWire és Guitar World-től is, sokak mellett, a Riff pedig egyenesen “fantasztikus és kötelezően meghallgatandó lemezként” üdvözölte a megjelenést. Két szólóalbummal és teltházas önálló turnékkal a háta mögött, most Myles Kennedyt megérzései harmadik nagylemezéhez vezették, a Napalm Records-nál megjelenő The Art of Letting Go-hoz, amelyet a Say What You Will című kislemezdallal vezet fel. A The Art of Letting Go turné november 10-én érkezik Budapestre, az Akvárium Klubba, az előzenekar a Black River Delta lesz.
