Since we couldn’t see the shore coz our craft was covered by thick fog.

She surely showed that way
A bar-barous land ruled by one eyed giants
Who didn’t respect justice or alliance or law

-Far too long I’ve been searching for.
I wasted a million miles to find glory!

Sticking together is the glory.

Koncertek, mesterkurzusok, workshopok, szakmai előadások, hangszerkiállítás és elsősorban fiatalok számára szervezett verseny is szerepel a június 6-án kezdőd 25. Szegedi Nemzetközi Gitárfesztivál programja között.
A fesztivál Magyarország legrégebben működő és egyben az egyik legjelentősebb gitár eseménye, melyen a világ legkiválóbb gitárművészei lépnek föl, a jubileum alkalmából pedig számos színes program is várja az érdeklődőket.
A fesztivált Pavlovits Dávid gitárművész-zeneszerző alapította 1999-ben. Ő maga több mint harminc országban lépett fel, a Szegedi Tudományegyetem (SZTE) Bartók Béla Művészeti Karának docenseként az ország egyik legnépszerűbb és legsikeresebb klasszikus gitár közösségét fogja össze.
A fesztivál június 6-án lengyel gitáresttel kezdődik, melyen Marcin Kuzniar és Mateusz Kowalski koncerteznek. Másnaptól a rendezvényen résztvevő neves művészek tartanak mesterkurzusokat, valamint két napon át hangszer- és eszközkiállítás is látható a fesztivál helyszínén, az SZTE művészeti karának épületében.
Június 7-én előbb Csáki András és Girán Péter előadását hallgathatják meg az érdeklődők, majd a Duettek estje következik, melyen a portugál Project Windsbraut és az amerikai-spanyol Orphika Duo lép színpadra.
Június 8-án rendezik a 10. Szeged Altamira Nemzetközi Gitárversenyt, melyen a zeneművészeti szakgimnáziumok és felsőfokú zeneművészeti képzőintézmények növendékei mellett más formában gitárt tanuló diákok is részt vehetnek, sőt a pro kategóriában kormegkötés nélkül is megmérettethetik magukat az indulók. Este a Rosalli Gitárstúdió, valamint Mayer Attila előadása hallható, a fesztivál záró dzsessz és latin gálaestjének egyik fellépője Pusztai Antal lesz, aki az alapítás óta visszatérő szereplője a rendezvénynek, mellette pedig a Flamenco Sopianae látványos produkcióját élvezheti majd a közönség.
