Két irányadó nemzetközi világzenei toplistára, a World Music Charts Europe-ra (WMCE) és a Transglobal World Music Charts-ra is felkerült a Besh o droM friss lemeze.
- A Hova lesz a séta? című anyag, amely idén tavasszal jelent meg, a WMCE júniusi listáján a 7. helyen nyitott, a Transglobal-on pedig a 21. helyre került, mindkét helyen egyetlen magyar lemezként - közölte az albumot kiadó Fonó Records.
World Music Charts Europe-on havonta ötven világzenei rádiós értékeli a lemezeket, a Transglobal World Music Charts-on pedig a világ minden tájáról származó világzenei szakemberek véleményezik az albumokat. A WMCE legfrissebb toplistáját a portugál Ana Lua Caiano vezeti Vou Ficar Neste Quadrado című lemezével (kiadó: Glitterbeat), a második helyre a kurd Aynour került Rabe című anyagával (Dreyer Gaido), a harmadikra pedig az iráni Maliheh Moradi és Ehsan Matoori Our Sorrow című lemeze (ARC Music). A Transglobal listáján a marokkói-francia csapat, a Bab L' Bluz az első a Swaken című koronggal (Real World), a török Ali Dogan Gönültas és a Keyeyi a második (Mapamundi Música) és a brit Sam Lee a Songdreaming-gel (Cooking Vinyl) a harmadik.
Az idén 25 éves Besh o droM Hova lesz a séta? című albumán tíz dal szerepel
A zenekar védjegyévé vált hangzás, a magyar népdalokból, a környező országok dallamaiból, és más, olykor rockos, funkys elemekből összerakott zene a csapat hetedik stúdióanyagán is meghatározó.
"Immár a sokadik lemezt készítettük távmunkában, a technikai lehetőségek miatt ma már arra sincs szükség, hogy stúdióban együtt rögzítsük a számokat. Sokszor teljesen esetleges, miből lesz egy dal. Az új anyagon szereplő Verda stelo például úgy lett, hogy egy baráti beszélgetés során szóba kerültek a jelképek, és az eszperantó nyelv szimbóluma a zöld színű ötágú csillag. Arra gondoltam, milyen vicces lenne, ha a Taurus ismert rockdalához, a Zöld csillaghoz kapcsolódva készülne egy eszperantó nyelvű dal" - mondta korábban Pettik Ádám, a zenekar egyik alapítója.
A lemezen szerepel az Elment a madárka című szám is, amelyben a zenekar a bánáti dallamot egy klasszikus reggae dal megidézésével bolondította meg. A bolgár és moldvai csángó dallam párosításából született Sandansko ritmusképe 22/16-os. Az 1911 című szám a Fonográf 1977-es albumán szereplő Szörényi-Bródy-szerzemény feldolgozása.
A Besh o droM-ban Fundák-Kaszai Lili (ének), Barcza Gergely (szaxofon, kaval, klarinét, EWI), Pettik Ádám (ének, Peckdrum, kanna, ütős hangszerek), Papesch Péter (basszusgitár), Szumper Ákos (dob), Hámori Máté (gitár), Seres Vilmos (klarinét) és Lisztes Jenő (cimbalom) szerepel.
